Logistics Coordinator

I am currently recruiting for one of my key clients who are looking for a logistics coordinator to join their well-established team. To be considered for this logistics coordinator role ideally you will have previous experiences planning deliveries and coordinating the movement of stock however any other logistics background will be considered.

Basic: £22,000 plus other benefits

Hours: 8.30am – 5pm

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme

  • The ability to deal with customer queries/complaints in a diplomatic manner
  • Confidence and ability to engage effectively with people at all levels, both in person and by telephone

The key responsibilities for the logistics coordinator are:

  • Keeping accurate records
  • Arranging credits for branch returns
  • Maintaining health and safety standards
  • Producing proof of delivery for customers
  • Import & export documentation management
  • Updating stock system & managing stock transfers
  • Investigating operational queries and providing resolutions
  • Taking telephone calls from both customers and suppliers
  • Helping with sales order processing and customer discounts
  • Managing Supplier invoices – checking off and amending PO
  • Stock management of render base coat and tinted materials
  • Organising transport with couriers, hauliers and third-party providers
  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers and processing counter sale orders
  • Booking goods in and creating pick notes (including for part dispatches)
  • Monitoring a despatch screen to manage stock allocation and subsequent picking
  • General administrative duties including managing post, cheques, filing of sales and purchase orders
