We have a fantastic opportunity to join a newly refurbished site based in Crewe, Cheshire as our clients Warehouse Shift Manager. This role is to help with their continued growth and success and will be a pivotal part of their Warehousing function.
The company are well established, family owned and they have a team of dedicated, ambitious and hard working staff who are all focused on delivering a quality service to their clients. This role is for a Warehouse Shift Manager so you will be based on the floor ensuring the team are motivated and are achieving targets at all times.
Our client works with a prestigious portfolio of client and due to company success they require TWO experienced Shift Managers. Experience of Safety accreditation – IOSH or NEBOSH and experience of multi-channel or fulfilment operations would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:

To co-ordinate and manage the activity of shift managers and team leaders; motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the colleague base to ensure productivity, safety and cost targets are met or exceeded

Take part in the weekly operational planning meetings

Lead the planning function to ensure all client promotional, seasonal and range launches are executed

Carry out regular health & safety inspections and ensure the operation operates within all H&S guidelines

Set Shift Managers & Team Leader objectives and hold regular formal reviews

Maintain hygiene and security in the work environment ensuring standards are met

Monitor stock control systems ensuring inventory accuracy and liaising with the Inventory Control Manager

Maintain Integration between all warehouse buildings

Proactively identify future development opportunities within the service operation and influence and lead those development and change opportunities

Candidates must have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years minimum experience of managing a team
- A thorough understanding of inventory control and stock movements
- Resource & demand planning
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, numerate and ability to influence
- Promoting a culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement
- PC Literate in Microsoft software ( outlook, excel, power point)
- Significant experience of warehouse management systems
- Resilience and pace setting
- Empathetic and emotionally intelligent
Monday to Friday – early shift – 6.30am to 14.30pm & late shift 3pm to 11pm
Saturday & Sundays – day shifts – either 6am-2pm or 8am to 4pm
