CAD Administrator

Location: Wigan
Salary: £28k – £30k per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (1/2 day on a Friday)
Type: Permanent

Are you a confident Administrator with an interest in technical work and a flair for CAD or AutoCAD?
KPI Recruiting is delighted to be supporting a leading UK manufacturer based in Wigan, who are looking to expand their Technical Team with a motivated and detail-focused Administrator.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and a working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD (preferably AutoCAD LT) to take the next step in a varied and rewarding role. Whether you already have CAD experience or are looking to build on basic knowledge, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Technical Manager and wider team.
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials and technical manufacturing documentation.
• Produce and manage spreadsheets and production paperwork.
• Collate, analyse and report on key data for internal teams.
• Support the Sales team by processing customer specifications and requirements.
• Communicate technical information clearly to factory staff and other departments.
• Use CAD (2D/3D – ideally AutoCAD LT) to support technical drawing and documentation tasks (training provided if needed).

✅ What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally in a technical or manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of CAD systems (2D/3D) – AutoCAD LT preferred.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Confident communicator via phone, email, and MS Teams.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A–C or equivalent), including Maths and English.
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

• Purchasing and Production Managers
• Sales and Line Managers
