Drivers Mate – Immediate start - £12.21 Per hour

KPI Recruiting are looking for Drivers mates for our client based in the Newcastle under Lyme area. Our client is a leading name in the fashion industry who is providing guaranteed work with state-of-the-art vans and services provided!

As a drivers mate You will be responsible for helping load and unload the vehicle when it arrives at different depots across the UK. You’ll be loading and offloading your vehicle when required and making sure all customers’ requirements are met.

Job description:

•             Sunday – Thursday shift pattern

•              start times between 1100 – 1500

•              Average of a 12-hour shift per day.

•              Year-round positions

•              opportunity for overtime

•              Drivers’ benefits include - weekly pay, additional shifts within KPI driving contacts available, use of state-of-the-art vehicles.

•              1 hour break

KPI recruiting is looking for experienced HGV 1 Driver to work for well known UK high street brand. This will be regular ongoing work based in Kent. This is a key role in ensuring timely and professional service to our clients.

• Pay rates - Days £19.26 , Nights £22.26 , weekend premiums from +£3 to +£8.55 on top of standard rate depending on shifts. 
• Shift time range – start times from 1000 to 1800 start available
• Length of shift – average length 11 hrs
• Shift pattern – 5 out of 7 days / Minimum days to accept will be 3 per week (dependent on requirements & days)

Key Responsibilities:

Role type – Retail drops to shops, lorries will be loaded at distribution centre, but the driver will unload at shop, product in cages.  Some trunking roles available from distribution centre to distribution centre (smaller percentage of work)

• Load and unload items, ensuring they are handled with care.
• Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience 1 years driving post test
• Points – Maximum of 6 points (any points codes starting with IN / DR / DG will not be accepted regardless of number of points)
• All drivers must be paid by PAYE
• Class – All roles Class 1
