Site Agent
The Role:
The main purpose Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site to achieve the required project delivery to the customers’ objectives while maintaining
standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. Initially working on the Manor Road NOS7 and NOS8 remediation packages for Thames Water, which involve the repair and remediation of 2no. bridge structures and 5no. trunk sewer barrels across both rail and road spans. Currently these works are in design phase and offer an opportunity to be involved from conception in a complex, challenging and large-scale package. Assisting in the development of innovative solutions through all stages of the project lifecycle and leading the team of sub agents and engineers to proactively seek opportunities and minimise risk.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to grow and develop their team of sub agents and engineers in order to deliver the package on site, including the development, procurement and delivery of multiple complex temporary works schemes. In addition, you will eeffectively support and collaborate with the wider project team in the management of contracts with Thames Water, consultants and the supply chain including commercial, planning and project controls (reporting).
You will be responsible for the delivery of the project, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. We are looking to take a chippie on for the Northern Region but would need someone that is flexible and will jump in the gang when there is no chippie work available.
We have the 4 large shafts that we will be doing in Stoke, there are reinforced valve chambers, and reinforced lids to cast, we need someone who can read temporary works drawings for using pans and wailers and also timber construction.
Would need to be able to understand basic rebar drawings, for bases and walls, and be willing to work in confined spaces for shuttering the benching in large manholes, we can look at confined space training for someone.
Will need to travel from site to site as needed which potentially could be an hour or more from Stoke on Trent.
