Role:
As an Authorised Person, you will oversee the isolation of railway systems, ensuring the safety of personnel and compliance with Network Rail safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Authorised Person for isolations, issuing and managing isolation certificates.
- Supervise isolation and de-isolation processes, ensuring all safety precautions are followed.

TBM Back-Up Miner
Job Summary:
The TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) Back-Up Miner is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of the back-up systems of the TBM. This role ensures the safe and efficient movement of equipment, materials, and personnel within the tunnel, as well as the installation of tunnel support systems and utilities. The Back-Up Miner plays a critical role in ensuring continuous tunnelling operations and tunnel safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor all equipment and systems located on the TBM back-up train.

Assist in the installation and extension of services such as ventilation, power, communication lines, water and grout lines.

Move and position conveyor systems, rails, and supply lines as the TBM advances.

Conduct daily inspections and perform maintenance tasks on the back-up equipment to ensure functionality and safety.

Support the mucking operations by overseeing proper conveyor operation and muck car loading, if applicable.

Coordinate with the TBM Operator and other team members to ensure smooth tunnelling operations.

Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, hazard-free work area at all times.

Respond to operational issues quickly to minimise downtime.

The Role:
Reporting to the Site Agent, the Site Engineer will take ownership of the survey control for the project and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.
