Position: Children's Residential Care Worker 
Location: Alsager
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,654 per annum inclusive of sleep in shifts
Hours: 37.5 per week

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN A RESIDENTIAL SETTING

MUST HAVE FULL RIGHTS TO WORK IN THE UK - NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK TOWARDS AN NNQ LEVEL 3 IN CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL CARE

MUST DRIVE AND HAVE OWN CAR

KPI Care are working closely with a Childrens Residential Home provider in the Alsager. We are looking for an experienced Childrens Residential Support Worker to assist the team in the delivery of quality service to meet the assured needs of children and young people.

The role as a Childrens Residential Support Worker:

  • To work with children and young people according to the individual’s needs, providing focussed work as planned and directed.
  • To assist in the co-ordination of activities within the Unit and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care.
  • To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of those looked after.
  • To promote professionalism at all times.
  • To encourage the culture of flexibility and team working amongst the workforce and be prepared to work in other homes if required.
  • To be an effective role model for other members of staff.
  • Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered though secondment.
  • To work flexible hours including: weekends, bank holidays.
  • Observe confidentiality at all times in relation to the Home and its residents, recognising the vulnerability of the residents.

Qualifications and Experience as a Childrens Residential Support Worker:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have a flexible approach to work, location, duties and hours
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of child care legislation & regulations
