Duties:

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 DOE
Shift Pattern: Double Days | Monday to Friday

We're working with a leading food manufacturer in Wrexham that's recently undergone major investment-relocating to a new site and installing state-of-the-art equipment to drive the next phase of their growth. As part of this expansion, they're now looking to bring an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer into their close-knit team.


The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production running smoothly-reacting to breakdowns, carrying out proactive maintenance, and playing a key role in installations and upgrades across a range of manufacturing equipment.

You'll work closely with colleagues in Engineering, Technical, Operations, and HR to ensure the site runs safely, efficiently, and in line with both Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns

  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective, lasting repairs

  • Support the installation and commissioning of new production equipment

  • Work closely with other departments and external contractors/suppliers

  • Promote and implement continuous improvement across the plant

  • Keep clear and detailed maintenance records

  • Contribute to a safe working environment through strong compliance


What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 minimum in Engineering (HNC/18th Edition with Part P preferred)

  • Strong background in maintenance within a food/FMCG manufacturing setting

  • Experience working with food processing and wrapping/packing machinery

  • Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills (both electrical and mechanical)

  • Proactive and hands-on approach with good communication skills

  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
