What You’ll Be Doing as an English ECT:
- Teaching English across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to achieve their best
- Designing and delivering lessons that engage students and develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking
- Fostering a love for literature and language through creative, dynamic lessons
- Supporting students of all abilities, from intervention to stretching the most talented
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies as necessary
- Cultivating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to discuss, create, and build confidence
- Collaborating with fellow staff to ensure the curriculum is engaging and effective
- Inspiring students to pursue further studies and careers in English and related fields
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with teaching experience in English
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
- A true passion for teaching and encouraging a love of reading and writing
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature with the ability to deliver inspiring lessons
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students
- Creative and adaptable teaching methods that cater to diverse learning needs
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to professional growth
