What will an ideal GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor look like?

  • To become a GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor – 1st or 2:1 in Maths related degree
  • A passion for Maths and genuine desire to learn relevant pedagogy
  • Relevant experience is desired but not essential when paired with relevant academics

What does this GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor role entail?

GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor – Full-time, long-term role – Earn up to £580 per week

As a GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor, you will provide expert tailored support to GCSE and A-Level students who aim to achieve outstanding grades in their crucial examinations.

Once you have been provided with the relevant training and subsequently observed great practice, you will embark on leading 1-1 and group sessions with students to solidify attainment and understanding.

Adopting the school’s rigorous academic ethos, as a GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor you will ensure students have clear understanding in this sometimes challenging and intense subject.

As you progress through the academic year your success as a GRAD Mathematics Attainment Mentor will be monitored. For the exceptional candidate, the opportunity to progress onto paid teacher training from September 2025 will be available.
