We are working with an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a Physics graduate seeking meaningful classroom experience before moving into teacher training or further academic study.
Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting students in KS3 and KS4 Physics and General Science
- Assisting with lab preparation, experiments, and classroom resources
- Providing small group and 1:1 academic support
- Encouraging students’ scientific thinking and enquiry-based learning
- Collaborating with Science teachers to enhance lesson delivery
- Helping ensure safety and engagement during practical sessions
- Contributing to science clubs or wider STEM enrichment activities
Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or above in Physics or a related subject
- A passion for science communication and learning
- Experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, mentoring, tutoring)
- Strong subject knowledge and a detail-oriented mindset
- Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to education
- Keen interest in pursuing a career in teaching or science education
