Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Supporting students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Implementing personalised strategies to boost student engagement and confidence
  • Helping students manage behaviour and emotional regulation in a positive, nurturing manner
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students to foster self-esteem and motivation
  • Assisting with tracking student progress and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Playing a key role in creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology (or a closely related field)
  • A passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN
  • Prior experience in an educational or care setting is beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a flexible approach to support individual needs
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a genuine commitment to helping students thrive
  • An interest in pursuing a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support
