Location: Nuneaton Primary School
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for child development and inclusive education?

Do you want to support children’s emotional, social, and academic progress, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are working with a friendly and nurturing primary school in Nuneaton to recruit a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a Psychology graduate seeking hands-on school experience before progressing to teacher training, educational psychology, or a related postgraduate course.

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children in EYFS, KS1, and KS2 lessons
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions (academic, emotional, and social)
  • Assisting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and other learning differences
  • Helping with classroom routines, resources, and differentiation
  • Encouraging resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour for learning
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Supporting play-based and therapeutic activities during lessons and breaks

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or a related subject
  • A genuine passion for child development and inclusive education
  • Experience working with young people (e.g., schools, SEN settings, nurseries, youth work, or tutoring)
  • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
  • Proactive, positive, and ready to make a difference in young lives
  • Interest in a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or child mental health
