We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing to teacher training, educational psychology, or further postgraduate study.
Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classrooms
- Delivering targeted interventions in small groups and 1:1 sessions
- Assisting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Helping prepare differentiated learning resources and classroom activities
- Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Supporting behaviour management and wellbeing initiatives
- Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and external support services
Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or a related field
- Passion for supporting children with SEN and additional needs
- Experience working with young people (e.g., schools, SEN settings, nurseries, or youth organisations)
- Empathetic, patient, and a strong communicator
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusive education
- Interest in a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child mental health
