We are working with a caring and inclusive primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for a Psychology graduate seeking hands-on experience in education before pursuing teacher training, educational psychology, or a related postgraduate pathway.
Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in the classroom
- Delivering targeted interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and a range of learning needs
- Preparing tailored learning resources and supporting differentiated teaching
- Encouraging progress in confidence, resilience, and social skills
- Aiding with behaviour strategies and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Collaborating with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals
Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology or a closely related subject
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
- Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, SEN support, tutoring)
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive approach and commitment to inclusive learning
- Ambition to pursue a future career in education, psychology, or mental health
