Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant: Candidate Specification
We’re on the lookout for a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant who holds:
- A 1st class or 2:1 degree from a Russell Group University in any STEM, English, Humanities, Psychology, Music or any other related subject
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A resilient, proactive attitude and a desire to make a difference
- Previous experience working with young people (desirable, not essential)
- A long-term interest in education, teacher training, or youth development
Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant: Job Role
As a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for
- Provide tailored academic support to students across all year groups – both one-to-one and in small group settings
- Support pupils in overcoming learning barriers
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and creating a focused learning environment
- Gain hands-on experience in lesson planning, marking, and pastoral responsibilities – developing the full skill set of an outstanding teacher
