The Role – Graduate / ETC SEN Teacher
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
- Teach and support students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Plan, adapt, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to each student’s unique learning needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to provide a tailored educational experience
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in a safe, structured learning environment
- Assist with behaviour management, social skills development, and emotional support
- Monitor and assess student progress, keeping detailed records and providing regular updates to parents and staff
Person Specification
- A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (essential)
- ETC (Education and Training Certificate) or equivalent teaching qualification (desired)
- Previous experience working with SEN, SEMH, or autism (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with students with additional learning needs
- A genuine passion for special education and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives
