This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive school in Warwickshire as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with pupils who have additional learning needs, providing them with tailored academic and emotional support to help them thrive.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – About the Role

Salary: Up to £570 per week (term time only)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time
Contract: Long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistantrole starting immediately or from September 2025
Focus: Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Adapting lesson materials and activities to meet individual pupil needs
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
  • Working closely with the SENCo, teaching staff, and external professionals

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We're Looking For

  • A 2:1 or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related subjects are desirable)
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is a bonus but not essential
  • A proactive, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting learning
