What You’ll Be Doing: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning activities
- Help students with communication, behaviour, and social skills development
- Work closely with therapists and SEN professionals to support pupils’ EHCP outcomes
- Use visual aids, sensory resources, and structured routines to promote engagement
- Celebrate pupil progress and encourage confidence and independence every step of the way
What We’re Looking For: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
We want to hear from graduates who:
- Have a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a similar subject
- Have some experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, care, youth work, or voluntary roles)
- Are patient, empathetic, and adaptable in challenging situations
- Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students and staff
- Are considering future careers in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or occupational therapy
