Graduate Teaching Assistant – Manchester – Up to £550 per week – Full-Time

A supportive and ambitious secondary school in Manchester is now recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team for the full academic year starting September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to build classroom confidence, support pupils academically, and make a real difference in a secondary school setting.

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate Teaching Assistant role (Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons. You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group academic support to students
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Adapt resources for pupils with SEND or lower prior attainment
  • Build strong, positive relationships with staff and students
  • Help track pupil progress and raise attainment

Who should apply?

We’re looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has a 2:1 degree or higher (any subject considered)
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is enthusiastic, resilient, and passionate about helping young people succeed
  • Is based in the UK and has the right to work full-time (no sponsorship available)

Previous experience as a tutor, mentor, or camp leader is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided.
