As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting teachers and students in lessons across a range of subjects.
You’ll help to create engaging learning environments, provide one-to-one or small group support, and play a key part in helping young people achieve their potential.
No two days are ever the same, and you’ll quickly become a valued part of the school team.
This role is ideal for graduates who are thinking about a future in teaching. With support from KPI Education and Highfield Academy, there’s a clear pathway to teacher training in 2026 for those who excel in the role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting students aged 11–18 in lessons and small groups.
- Helping teachers plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons.
- Assisting with classroom management and learning resources.
- Providing extra help to students who need additional support.
- Getting involved in after-school clubs, mentoring or pastoral work.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree (2:2 or above) in any subject.
- A passion for education and helping young people succeed.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
