Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Location: Merton, South London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week, term time only

Who we’re looking for

• Must have a University Degree (2:1 or higher)
• Genuine interest in helping students as a teacher assistant
• Eagerness to delve into training and personal development opportunities
• No experience is needed
• Some experience working with children e.g. Sen teaching assistant, tutor, child care is desirable but not essential

The Role

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Encourage pupils to stay focused, motivated and involved in their learning
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help them progress
• Support pupils with special educational needs to feel confident and achieve their goals
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through assemblies, playground supervision and extracurricular activities
