Salary: £45,000 + 15% Annual Bonus
Permanent Office Based role, with some Field based meetings

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and success, our client is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their dynamic commercial sales team. This is a pivotal role that will see you taking ownership of high-value customer relationships while driving exceptional service standards and long-term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Account Leadership & Management

  • Taking full ownership of a portfolio of high-value key accounts
  • Acting as primary point of contact and trusted advisor to major clients
  • Developing and implementing strategic account plans aligned with customer and company objectives

Relationship Building & Customer Excellence

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Understanding evolving client needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain seamless customer experience

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Working closely with Third-Party Intermediaries (TPIs) and Managing Agents
  • Coordinating with Service Delivery teams to manage complex customer portfolios
  • Collaborating with internal departments including operations, billing, and customer service

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitoring and managing large, dynamic portfolios ensuring accurate service delivery
  • Providing regular performance updates to Commercial Director
  • Delivering insights on customer feedback and improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Having a proven track record in Key Account Management, ideally within B2B Energy Retail
  • Possessing strong understanding of TPIs and Managing Agents (experience working with them highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrating exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Applying analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite proficiently, particularly Excel

Advantageous Skills

  • Having experience in energy procurement, portfolio management, or utility services
  • Possessing knowledge of the commercial energy sector and regulatory environment
