Duties:
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Operative, you’ll work across different sections of the Engineering Department to support the production of metal furniture components. No two days are the same — you’ll gain experience across workshop, welding, and paint plant areas.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop:
-
CNC tube bending
-
Tapping metal components
-
Prepping metal for the welding team
Welding:
-
MIG welding (mainly) and some TIG welding - full training provided
-
Plasma cutting
-
Operating robotic welders
Paint Plant:
-
Hanging metal components on the track for powder coating
-
Taking off coated components
-
Touch-up spraying to ensure perfect finishes
-
Material handling and prepping tables with bungs
Shift Pattern
-
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:45 pm
-
Friday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm (early finish)
-
40 hours per week, confirmed on a weekly basis
Pay & Benefits

£12.21 per hour basic rate

Enhanced overtime rates (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x after 48 hours)

Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or welding is advantageous — but full training will be provided.
