STORES AND LOGISTICS OPERATIVE 

ALSAGER 

MONDAY TO FRIDAY

£25,000 TO £32,000 DOE 

 

Are you experienced in a warehouse/stores environment, a confident logistics planner and true team player? If you said yes to all three we could have the perfect role for you. We have a great opportunity to join a long established, local business working within their stores department and co-ordinating the goods in and out function. This is a varied role in which you will mange the warehouse and logistics requirements for the company to ensure a smooth running of goods inbound, through the business and outbound. You’ll be a hands on Team Player who is flexible , adaptable and willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved when necessary. 

This is a great opportunity to join a thriving, long established team and become part of the family. You will report to the General Manager and work alongside some of the most experienced people in thier industry. 

Main Duties 

  • Check all inbound deliveries and ensure all items are correct, undamaged and present before acceptance
  • Plan and co-ordinate the collections and deliveries for company drivers, couriers and customers 
  • Booking in deliveries
  • Pack goods prior to despatch
  • Loading and Unloading Vehicles 
  • Keep stock sheets up to date using an in-house system
  • Keep tool logs updated 
  • Ordering Packaging 
  • Ensure all goods are in the correct location
  • Carry out stock checks
  • Support the products flow from production to despatch 

To be considered for this role you will need 

  • Experience working within a Warehouse/Stores environment 
  • Experienced in planning and co-ordinating transport and deliveries for goods in and out of the business 
  • A keen eye for detail
  • FLT License desired but not essential
  • Excellent Communication skills
