How the training works You'll spend four days a week in school across the Burnley area, with Wednesdays set aside for online study and professional development.
September – December: Observe lessons, team-teach alongside your mentor, and build your confidence in the classroom. January – March: Take the lead on planning and delivering lessons, and begin developing your assessment strategies. April – July: Teach independently, refine your classroom management, and complete your PGCE and QTS.
What you'll need
- A degree in Spanish, French, or a closely related Modern Foreign Language (2:1 or above preferred) — or strong A-level Spanish or French
- A genuine passion for languages and for teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Burnley is well connected by road and rail — a driving licence is helpful but not essential.

He is a governor at a local Primary School in Stockport which enables him to give something back to his community and maintain his understanding of the struggles schools face. Outside of work, Ryan plays cricket in the summer for Colwyn Bay Cricket Club and is a Man United fan.

Tom is a Senior Consultant at KPi Education. He has over 4-years’ experience in the industry after starting off in the most alien of circumstances during the Covid pandemic after returning from a 3-year stint in Australia. Tom covers the whole of Merseyside and parts of Cheshire, an area that was previously untouched and had to create business from scratch. Tom now works closely with a number of schools across the area, specialising in Primary and SEN schools but also has strong relationships with secondary schools too. Away from work, Tom is sports mad – playing cricket throughout the summer for Colwyn Bay and a long suffering Everton FC fan. He lives in Liverpool with his partner and enjoys making the most of the city!

Before joining KPI, Abbie worked as an English lecturer in a college in the North West, helping adult students to gain the qualifications for further study and career progression. Outside the office, Abbie is an avid reader and socialite who reviews books online for indie authors and established publishing houses alike. She also loves anything involving music and is known for going to see as many different bands as possible.
