Duties:

 

Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator

Location: Crewe
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum DOE (pro rata for part-time hours)
Hours: Flexible - Full Time (37.5 hours per week) or Part Time to suit (e.g. 9:00am to 3:30pm, 3 full days per week, or similar)

The Opportunity

KPI Recruiting are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business based in Crewe to recruit a Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive company where you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. The position is heavily focused on bookkeeping and finance administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Managing the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices
  • Inputting and processing purchase orders
  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Reconciling supplier and customer accounts
  • Supporting credit control activities and monitoring customer payments
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Assisting with month-end finance procedures
  • Preparing financial information and documentation for accountants
  • Managing finance-related queries from suppliers and customers
  • Supporting the wider finance and administration function as required
  • Maintaining accurate filing systems and financial records
  • General finance administration duties

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Assistant Accountant, or similar
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounts administration experience
  • Experience using Sage Cloud would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • A positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude
