Fashion Retail Area Manager - South West 

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Company Car + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Manager to join a well-established Fashion retail business with a portfolio of stores across the UK. Covering the South West of England, you will be responsible for leading and supporting multiple stores, driving commercial performance and developing high-performing Store Managers and their teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for sales, profitability and operational standards across your region. You'll work closely with Store Managers to deliver an exceptional customer experience while identifying opportunities to improve performance and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Store Managers to achieve and exceed sales, profit and KPI targets.
• Take full responsibility for the commercial performance and profitability of your region.
• Develop business plans and strategies to maximise store performance.
• Drive exceptional customer service standards across all locations.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
• Ensure stores deliver seasonal campaigns, promotions and visual merchandising standards.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and support future business growth.
• Ensure stores are appropriately staffed while effectively managing labour budgets.
• Minimise shrinkage, stock loss and controllable costs.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures relating to stock control, cash handling, security and health & safety.
• Recruit, coach and develop Store Managers in partnership with the HR team.
• Support succession planning and identify future leadership talent.
• Manage performance, conduct reviews and support ongoing development across management teams.
• Ensure all stores provide a safe environment for colleagues and customers.

About You

You'll be an experienced multi-site retail leader who enjoys developing people, improving performance and delivering strong commercial results.

You'll have:

• Previous experience as an Area Manager or Regional Manager within a retail environment.
• Experience managing multiple stores across a geographical region.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, budgets and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A full UK driving licence (company car provided).
