We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected electrical and building services contractor to recruit an experienced CAD Designer.
Operating across the UK, our client delivers full M&E and facilities solutions, supporting projects from initial concept through to completion and ongoing maintenance. With decades of industry expertise and a strong reputation for quality, they are continuing to grow within the building services and facilities management sector.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional with experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) building services to join a supportive and forward-thinking business.
You will play a key role in the design and coordination of electrical installations within commercial and industrial buildings, working closely with project and engineering teams across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop 2D CAD drawings for M&E building services projects
- Support the design of electrical systems within commercial and facilities environments
- Work within NEC contract frameworks, supporting project delivery requirements
- Use Bluebeam Revu for drawing mark-ups, revisions, and document coordination
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams
- Ensure drawings are compliant with relevant building services standards and regulations
- Update and maintain accurate project documentation
About You
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer within M&E / Building Services / Facilities
- Experience working on projects under NEC contracts
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar)
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu
- Good understanding of electrical building services systems
- Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience in facilities management or maintenance environments
- Exposure to BIM or Revit
- Relevant engineering or design qualification
