Duties:

KPI Recruiting is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our catering team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to dietary requirements, including textured meals and allergy considerations. This is an ad-hoc position with flexible shifts, perfect for chefs who thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen prior to service, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place.
  • Prepare and organize food containers at designated kitchen stations.
  • Cook specific portions of each meal, following set guidelines and recipes.
  • Assist in marinating, cutting, and pre-cooking ingredients for efficient meal preparation.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at the beginning and end of shifts, following health and safety protocols.
  • Wrap and store unused ingredients properly at the end of each shift.
  • Creatively plate dishes to enhance customer satisfaction and presentation.
  • Adhere to all dietary requirements, including the preparation of textured meals and allergy-friendly dishes.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday: £16.00/hour
  • Saturday: £17.00/hour
  • Sunday: £18.00/hour
  • Working hours: 07:00 - 17:30 on an ad-hoc basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid DBS/PVG certification.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
  • Allergy Awareness Certificate.
