PRISON CHEF – IMMEDIATE START

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days out of 7
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Prison Chef to join a busy catering operation in the YO41 1PS area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced Chef to work within a large-scale catering environment, preparing meals for approximately 1,500 people every day.

‍ THE ROLE

As a Prison Chef, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals in a high-volume catering environment
• Cooking for approximately 1,500 people per day
• Following menus, recipes and portion-control requirements
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and food safety
• Working effectively as part of a professional kitchen team
• Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
• Following all site security, health & safety and operational procedures

✅ REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working as a Chef
• Experience in large-volume catering is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
• Reliable, professional and punctual
• Able to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends where required
• Advanced DBS required or willingness to obtain one
• Must be available for an immediate start
