HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex (BN27)
Pay: £16.06 per hour | Weekly pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm

The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Class 2 Driver to join a busy operation in Hailsham. This role goes beyond just driving — you’ll be a key part of a crew delivering essential waste and recycling services to the local area. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys a structured routine, being out on the road, and working as part of a tight-knit team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Driving and operating a Category C refuse vehicle on planned routes
• Supporting timely collection of waste and recycling across residential and commercial areas
• Working closely with loaders to keep routes running smoothly
• Carrying out daily safety inspections of your vehicle and reporting any issues
• Completing all necessary paperwork and logs accurately
• Following all transport regulations, safety procedures, and environmental standards
• Representing the service professionally when interacting with members of the public

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Previous experience driving large vehicles (waste sector experience helpful but not essential)
• Confident handling vehicles in tight or built-up areas
• A team player with good communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round
• Physically capable of supporting a hands-on role
