KPI Recruiting is looking for an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join a prestigious manufacturing client in Birmingham. This role is perfect for a technical professional who values high-quality production and a genuine 4-day work week.

• Salary: Starting at £34,000 (Depending on experience)
• Hours: Monday – Thursday | 06:00 – 16:30 (4 x 10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Expertly set up and operate CNC Laser cutting machinery.
• Precision Cutting: Ensure all components are cut to exact specifications and tolerances.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Material Management: Select correct materials and assist with loading/unloading the machines.
• Quality Control: Perform regular inspections to ensure "right first time" quality.
• Maintenance: Carry out basic machine cleaning and troubleshooting to keep production moving.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven background operating CNC Laser or similar fabrication machinery.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment (callipers, etc.).
• Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to high safety standards.
• Background: Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or sheet metal environment.
