CNC Machinist (Milling & Turning)

Location: Crewe

Salary: From £15.20 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time (37 Hours Per Week)

KPI Recruiting are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist for our client based in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team in a modern, well-equipped workshop manufacturing precision components for the railway industry.

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

• Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

• Total: 37 hours per week

• Please Note: On client demand, split shifts may be required: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and program CNC milling and turning machines.

• Manufacture high-quality components for railway applications.

• Work from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances.

• Produce one-off and batch components to exact specifications.

• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures.

• Inspect finished components using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).

Requirements

• Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining.

• Proven experience in both CNC Milling and CNC Turning.

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar controls (preferred).

• Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards.

• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
