A welcoming and supportive primary school in Nantwich (CW5) is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team from

September 2026.

Working alongside experienced teachers and Early Years practitioners, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience supporting children during the most important stage of their learning and development, helping them build the confidence, curiosity and essential skills they'll carry throughout their education.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities that encourage curiosity and creativity.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help children achieve key developmental milestones.
  • Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, communication and language skills.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, positive behaviour and social development.
  • Help prepare exciting learning resources and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support observations and assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need:

  • A 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve one).

Previous experience working with young children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable but not essential. We're looking for graduates with the enthusiasm, commitment and potential to make a lasting impact during the earliest stages of a child's education.
