EC&I Engineer (Contract) – Greater Manchester
Contract: Ongoing
Hourly Rate – DOE (Depending on Experience)

- Are you an experienced EC&I Engineer looking to work on high-impact engineering projects? Join our growing team in Greater Manchester, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality EC&I solutions across a range of major industrial projects
- Detail-focused Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer who can take a project from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency at every stage
- Lead the concept and detailed design of EC&I systems across the business
- Ensure resource levels meet project demands, reporting weekly to the Project Manager
- Approve and check designs, documentation, and BOMs for quality and completeness
- Liaise with production teams and approve shop floor design changes
- Monitor design team performance, delivery timelines, and output quality
- Support recruitment and contractor management alongside the Chief Engineer
- Resolve or raise NCRs as required and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Champion on-time, on-budget project delivery, and drive departmental strategy
- Maintain strict adherence to BS 7671 and other industry regulations
Skills & Experience
- HND in Electrical Engineering with industry experience OR
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Electrical) with experience
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (IET preferred)
- SC Clearance (or eligible to obtain)
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD 2D & Inventor 3D preferred)
- Experience delivering projects >£500k in value
- Skilled in EC&I system design, documentation, and report writing
- Familiarity with PLC software and electrical calculations
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and project success
