Do you want hands-on experience in a school setting while preparing for a future career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Specialist SEND roles?
A highly regarded secondary school in Westminster is looking for a Graduate Assistant to join their SEND and pastoral team, supporting students with EHCPs, particularly those with:
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Your Role
As a Graduate Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with the SENCo, teachers, and external specialists to support individual students
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following evidence-based strategies
- Support assessments, data collection, and monitoring of student progress
- Assist with social skills, emotional regulation, and communication development
- Contribute to reports and intervention planning, gaining insight into professional educational psychology practice
Who We’re Looking For
You will be:
- A recent graduate or final-year student in Psychology, Education, Linguistics, or related fields
- Enthusiastic, empathetic, and highly motivated to work with students with SEND
- Keen to learn from a multidisciplinary team in a real-world school environment
- Interested in progressing towards Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Teaching careers
Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential – full training and support will be provided.
