Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Warrington

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday 06.00 - 14.00 & 14.00 - 22.00)

 

We are working in partnership with a market-leading UK manufacturer to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Warrington.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business at an exciting stage of expansion, offering long-term stability and career development within a modern manufacturing environment.

Our client is a highly reputable UK manufacturer supplying insulated glass units and toughened safety glass to both commercial and domestic markets. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, they continue to invest heavily in new technology and facilities.

The successful candidate will be based at a new production site, equipped with cutting-edge machinery.

 

 

The Role

This is a hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment.

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on automated production machinery
  • Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production and engineering
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and compliance standards
  • Working closely with Production and Quality teams to improve performance and efficiency

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship (minimum ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within manufacturing
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills on automated machinery
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience using CMMS systems and basic IT tools (e.g. MS Office)
  • Take a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
