Engineering Support Advisor (Spanish, German OR French Speaking)

Level: Staff (Level 5)
Hours: 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Reports to: Internal Sales Manager

Salary: £30,000

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Engineering Support Advisor to join our Wear Protection Sales team in Irlam. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Working closely with production and internal departments, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring orders progress smoothly from receipt through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily contact with existing customers via phone and email, providing order updates and responding to enquiries
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Proactively expedite customer orders and coordinate with internal departments to meet customer requirements
• Attend regular production meetings to monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers
• Develop a strong understanding of the company's products to provide informed advice and excellent customer service
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customer accounts
• Accurately maintain customer and account information within the CRM system
• Apply for SIEL (Standard Individual Export Licence) applications via the UK Government's LITE system when required.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the rol

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance, or the ability to obtain it
• Previous experience in a customer service or customer support environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive, can-do attitude

Desirable

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of the IFS ERP system.
• Additional language skills in French, German or Spanish
