The Opportunity
As a Geography Graduate, you will join a thriving Humanities department and work alongside experienced teachers to develop the skills, confidence and knowledge required for a successful teaching career.
This role offers significantly more responsibility than a traditional Teaching Assistant position, providing a genuine introduction to classroom teaching and school life.
Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Supporting students' academic progress through targeted interventions

Leading small-group and one-to-one learning sessions

Assisting with lesson preparation, marking and assessment

Developing classroom management and behaviour strategies

Supporting fieldwork, enrichment activities and wider Humanities events
-
Working closely with experienced teachers and school leaders to develop your practice

Are on track to achieve, or have achieved, a 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a closely related subject

Can inspire young people and act as a positive role model
Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
