Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils in Geography lessons, with potential involvement in other Humanities subjects
  • Assisting in the delivery of creative and engaging lessons
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with students who need extra support
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Encouraging students’ geographical thinking, analytical skills, and curiosity about the world
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Providing academic and emotional support to students as needed
  • Taking part in school activities, enrichment programmes, and extracurricular opportunities

Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related subject
  • A genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic attitude
  • The ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • Previous experience with young people is a bonus, but not essential
  • A desire to pursue a career in teaching, youth work, or educational support
