Graduate Academic Mentor

Location: Wandsworth, West London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–16:00pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025

Who We’re Looking For

Keen to strengthen support in across a range of subject areas to encourage confident learning, the ideal applicant for this Graduate Academic Mentorrole will have:

  • A recent 2:1 or higher degree in any subject, but GCSE studied subject areas are favourable
  • High-achieving academic history
  • Some interest in teaching or work related with young people
  • Willingness to engage with students and learn to understand their learning styles
  • Confident and outgoing person with excellent subject knowledge
  • Experience working with young people is desired but not essential

The Role

If you are a gifted graduate who wants to paint a clear picture of what working in a school looks like whilst surrounded by support and training, your role as a Graduate Academic Mentor will see you:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to improve progress
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, especially those with SEN needs
  • Develop classroom confidence, leadership skills, and teaching techniques – all while earning a competitive salary
  • Support exam preparation and inspire pupils aiming for top grades
  • Gain an inside track into teacher training routes for 2026
