We are looking for a resilient, proactive and dedicated Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support young people facing significant behavioural, emotional and social challenges.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who may have been excluded from mainstream education, be at risk of exclusion or have additional needs requiring tailored support.

The Role

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring and pastoral support to young people with complex behavioural and emotional needs.

  • Support pupils who have been excluded from school or are struggling to access mainstream education.

  • Help young people manage challenging behaviour, regulate their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.

  • Accompany pupils on educational outings and activities to build confidence, social skills and engagement.

  • Support pupils in educational settings and within the wider community.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations.

  • Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams, families and other professionals to support each young person's progress.

  • Adapt your approach to meet individual needs, including SEND and additional behavioural support requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, vulnerable young people or SEND is desirable.

  • Resilience, patience and confidence when managing challenging situations.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people who may struggle to trust adults.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people who need additional guidance and positive role models.
