- Motivate students to engage with their education and improve their attendance and behaviour.
- Help pupils develop strategies to manage their emotions and regulate their behaviour.
- Work alongside teaching staff to maintain a positive, inclusive and structured classroom environment.
- Respond to challenging behaviour using calm, patient and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
- Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours, acting as a strong role model.
- Observe and record pupil development, providing feedback to support individual progress.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to ensure consistent support for students.
What We're Looking For
We are keen to hear from graduates who are passionate about education and committed to helping young people succeed.
Ideally, you will have:
- A First-Class or 2:1 degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Social Work, Health and Social Care or a related discipline.

- A patient, adaptable and resilient personality.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to remain positive in challenging situations.
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- The motivation to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to students' development.
Any previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in mentoring, tutoring, youth work or behavioural support, would be beneficial but is not essential.
