The Role
As a Graduate Computer Science Trainee Teacher, you will join a successful Computing department, working alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 as your confidence grows.
You will gradually develop your teaching practice through structured training and expert guidance while taking on increasing classroom responsibility throughout the year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging Computer Science lessons.
- Teaching topics including programming, computational thinking, algorithms, cybersecurity and digital systems.
- Helping students of all abilities develop confidence and achieve strong academic outcomes.
- Delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support where required.
- Learning effective classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Developing skills in lesson planning, assessment and curriculum delivery.
- Observing experienced teachers and implementing best practice within your own lessons.
- Participating in weekly training sessions focused on pedagogy, curriculum design and professional development.
- Building towards independently planning and teaching lessons under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

Candidate Profile

- Eligibility to work in the UK.
