KPI Education is working with a forward-thinking London secondary school to recruit a Graduate Cover Teacher. This role is ideal for graduates considering a PGCE or ITT course and offers the chance to gain hands-on experience across multiple subjects and year groups while developing key teaching skills.
About the Role
As a Graduate Cover Teacher, you will:
- Supervise classes across a broad range of subjects, supporting students in line with lesson plans.
- Work with multiple year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, giving exposure to a variety of curriculum content.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons effectively while maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
- Support students’ learning and understanding, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Assist teaching staff with classroom administration, marking, and pastoral duties.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school day by ensuring classrooms are well-managed and lessons run according to plan.
- Gain experience of teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and the school’s curriculum framework.

Ideal Candidate
- Holds a university degree 2:1 or above (in core subjects).
- Interested in pursuing a teaching career through a PGCE or ITT route.

- Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and professional conduct.
- Able to manage classroom behaviour effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Adaptable and proactive, comfortable supervising multiple subjects and year groups.
