The Role

As a Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s early learning, development, and wellbeing during a crucial stage of their education, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting play-based learning and structured Early Years activities
  • Assisting with early language development, phonics, and communication skills
  • Working with small groups and providing 1:1 support where needed
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Helping to develop children’s social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Contributing to a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting daily routines and transitions within the EYFS setting

About You

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or above
  • Degrees in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or related fields (desirable)
  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for Early Years education and child development
  • Experience with EYFS and/or SEND (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong spoken English skills are essential to model language, support communication, and aid early development, particularly for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • An aspiring teacher, Early Years practitioner, or child development professional
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
