KPi Education are currently working alongside a highly respected specialist SEND school in the Sheffield area to recruit ambitious Graduate Educational Therapy Assistants looking to build experience before progressing into therapeutic, psychological, or specialist educational careers.

About the Role
As a Graduate Educational Therapy Assistant, you will become part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Sensory processing differences
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Working alongside teachers, therapists, pastoral staff, and families, you will help deliver personalised support designed to develop pupils' communication, independence, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing.
Daily responsibilities of a Graduate Educational Therapy Assistant:
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions
- Supporting communication development through visual strategies, Makaton, PECS, AAC and other specialist approaches
- Assisting pupils with sensory regulation and therapeutic activities
- Supporting the development of social skills, emotional wellbeing, and independence
- Observing and implementing strategies recommended by Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other specialist professionals
- Building positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, engaged, and confident in their learning environment
Who We're Looking For

Previous experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential.
