The Role – Graduate English Academic Mentor
As a Graduate English Academic Mentor, you will play a key part in raising achievement and engagement in English across both KS3 and KS4. You will support students in developing their skills in reading, writing, and analysis through:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group literacy interventions.
- Assisting experienced English teachers in the classroom.
- Leading focused sessions for students preparing for their GCSE English Language and Literature exams.
- Helping pupils build confidence in essay writing, comprehension, and verbal communication.
- Gaining valuable insight into school life – ideal preparation for a PGCE or teacher training pathway.
