Job Description – Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor

  • Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor
  • Provide educational and pastoral support for students in KS3 and KS4
  • Interview and start ASAP in a full-time, long-term position
  • As a Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor– Earn £465-£530 per week
  • English subject graduate needed – 1st and 2.1 degrees are essential
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm
  • Merton - Croydon – South London

This secondary school, which is often subject to average GCSE and A-Level results, is looking for an individual with a highly-academic background and upbeat personality level up their English department in the push to GCSE and A-Level season.

As a Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in ensuring no child is left behind as you put your academic background to use supporting English Literature/Language students.

Following detailed training and instructions provided by teaching staff, you will guide struggling students on a 1-1 and group basis using engaging resources that are designed to step-outside-the-box. This school will heavily rely on the support of a Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor with top-tier skillsets to implement the successful learning techniques that made them flourish throughout their time in education and inspire their students.

This Graduate English Literature/Language Academic Mentor role is well suited to individuals looking to gain more experience in school as well as those looking to develop into qualified teachers, as successful candidates have potential to join paid teacher training courses in September 2024/2025.
