KPI Care have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Support Manager to work with our client on a permanent basis who provide excellent care to adults in nursing and residential homes throughout the UK.
As a Regional Support Manager you will be responsible for supporting several homes, travelling within the West Midlands area.
Regional Support Manager Responsibilities include:
Crisis Management
- Reporting to Director of Operations to support services which have identified areas of non-compliance with CQC, including safeguarding, areas identified of concern as underperforming on internal audits or provider visits.
- Input action plans to address areas of non-compliance within agreed timeframe.
- Audit and identify areas of concern within the budget
- Monitor standards through internal audits, addressing areas of concern.
Support Home Management
- Supporting the Home Management Team until a permanent manager can be recruited.
- Assisting in hand over once a Home Manager is appointed.
- Assisting in induction of the home manager.
- Lead, manage and be accountable for compliance towards regulatory guidelines.
- Provide strong leadership skills and lead by example to indentify and reduce risks by conducting audits and taking action with the compliance manager.
- Liasing with other healthcare professionals and external bodies.
- Managing the disciplinary and grievance procedure and performance related issues with the HR manager.
- Helping the recruitment team with interviews and inductions.
- Commissioning of new care homes.
2. Interim Management
- Support as ‘Acting Home Manager’ in services where the home manager position is vacant, the home manager is long term sick, or otherwise absent from work.
3. Operations Support
- To support the homes as an additional point of contact and support during annual leave of Regional Operations Manager.
- Assist with complex investigations as required.
- Support with grievance and disciplinary hearings
4. Health & Safety
- Attend all training and identify any training opportunities or needs during supervision.
- Promote compliance with Health and Safety Policies
- Complete audits and identify areas of improvement and action plan these
Skills required:
- Qualified RN/RGN or RMN or RNLD with valid NMC pin
- To hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Experience in a similar role
- Work in accordance with the NMC code of Practice
- Able to communicate effectively – written and verbal
